New Zealand, South Island Day 5

Day 5 (12 June 2016)

Mount Cook - Queenstown Hill Walkway (Queenstown) - Fregburger - Doubletree Hilton

Early in the morning, we decided to check out from Aoraki Cook Motel and drove out in search for breakfast along the way.

It took us pretty long before we reached a decent small town with café that opened for breakfast. Here we were at one of the small local café in Mackenzie. There were a wide range of sandwiches available for us to choose. As usual, I had my bacon and egg burger while shadow tried their satay sauce sandwich and scone. The bacon and egg burger tastes great, maybe because we were both very hungry and its near lunch time, thus we ordered another one to share again. :)

We passed by some vineyard along the way to Queenstown. A change of view from the usual sheeps and cows.

Approaching Queenstown finally.

Upon reaching Queenstown, we went straight to Queenstown Hill Walkway. It was an easy walk, about 1.5 to 2hr return.

The pathway was very defined and there were many people walking up the hill around the same time as us too.

We spotted some wild mushrooms on the ground along the way.

It was very windy at the top of the hill. However, we still decided to set up our tripod for a couple shot. In the trip, we had went on a hike almost everyday, exploring the wonders of nature together.

On our way down, we decided to take another couple shot with the view of Queenstown at the back.

After the hike, we drive to the town area in search for the famous burger place, Fregburger. The queue was long, but luckily, it moved very fast too. We each ordered a burger, Shadow had the pork belly burger while I had the chicken one. The burgers were very big, thus I couldn't finish it.
Both of us concluded that it was one of the best burgers that we had eaten. Shadow even decided to go back the next day morning for another round before we left Queenstown. :)

After a tiring travelling day, we check into Double Tree Hilton hotel for a night. Surprisingly, it was one of the cheapest hotel for the trip but also one of the most comfortable.
